Society Codes of Conduct

This is a live document to be update/amended by the community at large. These are agreements and pledges users not only make to Madeium, but to their colleagues and other users. Keep the site fair, clean and positive to allow Madeium to achieve our ultimate mission of furthering humanity through creativity.

1. Upload only work that you created

Share your own work on Madeium. Give credit where credit is due. Most projects aren’t completed by a single individual. Tag those who contributed. If they aren’t yet on Madeium, send an invite to add them to projects.

2. Upload high quality design work

Madeium is a curated space to upload current work in progress and professional, portfolio quality work. We look to use creativity to solve big, real world challenges. Please help elevate good design, concepts and ideas through self-editing your uploads.

*If your upload violates these guidelines, it will be removed from Madeium. Note: Per our Terms of Service, Madeium has final say over whether content is appropriate.

3. Don’t post inappropriate content

Madeium is an inclusive community. We don’t tolerate bigotry. Don’t post content that is:

If you post inappropriate content, it may be removed by Madeium per our Terms of Service. Madeium has final say over whether content is appropriate. If you repost content that’s been removed or continue to post content that violates these guidelines your account may be suspended or removed.

If you notice a Madeium member posting inappropriate content, flag the shot or report it by contacting us.

4. Follow the guidelines for Pro profile

5. Don’t spam other Madeium Members

Madeium provides many features that allow users to interact with one-another, including messages. Please don’t use these tools indiscriminately to spam or send unsolicited messages to other members. If you’re caught spamming other Madeium members, your account may be suspended or removed.

What do we consider spam?

If you see a Madeium member spamming others, report it by contacting us at www.madeium.com/contact

6. Don't use Madeium invitations to draw attention to my own account

Your account may be suspended or removed if you engage in activity that violates these guidelines.

7. Give Due Credit

If your work is inspired by other work on Madeium, make sure to give credit. You can do this by tagging them as collaborators. Know that work that’s inspired by others may be interpreted as stolen and any profit derived from its use will own the originator royalty payments.

Please link back to Madeium when posting Madeium content elsewhere. To accomplish our goals of creating a dynamic global force for good, attracting attention furthers our cause.

8. Be constructive with feedback

When providing criticism or feedback to other Madeium members assure it is constructive. Improve, don’t tear down. Help solve for better solutions.

While Madeium embraces freedom of speech, we strive to maintain a professional workplace that is conducive to great results. Basic standards of human decency apply.

Overly negative, vulgar or degrading comments may be removed at Madeium’s sole discretion and action may be taken to suspend or revoke the violating party’s membership and status.

9. Use messages to contact Madeium members about serious work inquires only

When sending a message to a Creatives, please follow these guidelines:

10. Personal accounts are only to be used for posting personal work

All work posted under an individual account represents that account holders personal work and not the work of a team, collective, community or any other group of individuals without specifically tagging the other creatives to the project. If you would like to share work created by a team, create a Studio Account.

11. Studio Accounts are for design agencies and in-house design teams

When creating a Team account please follow these guidelines:

Failure to follow these guidelines will result in your messaging privileges being suspended or revoked.

12. The Gig Board is for appropriate projects for individuals seeking a freelance or contract designer
